On August 12, 2026, Stadion Salzburg hosted the UEFA Super Cup final, featuring a match between Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain and Europa League winners Aston Villa. In front of approximately 28,000 spectators, including 7,000 fans from each club, Paris secured a 2–1 victory, claiming their second consecutive Super Cup title.

UEFA Super Cup: Mobility plan supported by Citec

Commissioned by UEFA, Citec worked alongside the Local Organizing Committee to develop this plan, coordinating with Salzburg’s public transport authority (Salzburger Verkehrsverbund / SVV), local emergency services, and the police, as well as UEFA’s internal teams (covering security, event transport, venue management, etc.). Our major events experts defined several key components of the mobility plan: the establishment of two Fan Meeting Points, one for Paris Saint-Germain supporters and one for Aston Villa fans, and a shuttle service comprising five lines (two from park-and-ride lots, two from the Fan Meeting Points, and one from the city center), complemented by enhanced rail services to and from the city center. Building on a long-standing collaboration with UEFA dating back to Euro 2008—and having successfully delivered similar services for the 2025 Super Cup at the Stadio Friuli in Udine—Citec was on-site in early August to oversee the operational deployment of the plan.
