Citec operations in Rome for UEFA EURO 2020

Since Friday, June 11, 2021, the 2020 European Football Championship is in full swing. Citec is mobilized in Rome for an operational mission.

Postponed for a year due to a pandemic, the 2020 European Football Championship is held from June 11 to July 11, 2021. For the 60th anniversary of the first competition (the European Cup of Nations 1960), and for for the first time in its history, the tournament is being held all over Europe, in 11 cities and in 11 countries. Rome is one of the host cities, so it hosted 4 matches including the opening and quarter-final matches at the Stadio Olimpico:

  • Friday 11 June 2021 – Group A: Turkey v Italy (9 p.m. local time)
  • Wednesday June 16, 2021 – Group A: Italy v Switzerland (9 p.m. local time)
  • Sunday 20 June 2021 – Group A: Italy v Wales (6 p.m. local time)
  • Saturday July 3, 2021 – QF4: Winner 8 – Winner 7 (9 p.m. local time)

Rome UEFA EURO 2020: Citec manages parking and stadium vehicles accessibility

Our Large Events experts have been mandated by UEFA to manage and supervise the vehicles’ parking and ensure accessibility to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome during the entire competition on site. A large-scale operational mission that covers 12 vehicle checkpoints and 23 car parks, for a total of 1,500 parking spaces. To ensure the management of the car parks and the traffic area during the various events, 3,500 hours of work were necessary and no less than 70 people mobilized.
