ONLINE – On Thursday 26 November 2026, Citec and Redmint are hosting a webinar on the deployment of mobility solutions in rural and peripheral areas of the Alps, as part of the Interreg Alpine Space project DEGREE4ALPS.
In Alpine regions, the geographical dispersion of points of interest and low population density make public transport services less viable and less attractive. This limits accessibility, especially for the most vulnerable groups, and often increases social exclusion. The DEGREE4ALPS project aims to improve accessibility in these areas by integrating traditional, flexible and shared mobility solutions, both formal and informal, through digital tools and approaches based on social innovation.
Solutions co-designed and tested in the field
The webinar will present the mobility solutions co-designed and tested during the project’s first pilot: demand-responsive transport (DRT), carpooling, electric car sharing and dedicated last-mile infrastructure.
It will also be an opportunity to discuss key success factors, the challenges encountered when implementing these solutions, and the actions to prioritise in order to support their roll-out across regions.
Are you part of a local authority or a university located within the Alpine Space programme area and would like to take part? Register online.
