Citec and TVK attend Place de la République’s inauguration in Paris on June 16th

Citec is proud to announce the public opening of Place de la République next Sunday, June 16^th. Working on this fabulous project with TVK Architecture Bureau, Citec was charged to study the mobility aspect. The need of making pedestrian, bike, public transport, taxi, cars, motorcycle and delivery flows coexisting has been a real challenge to Citec’s engineers.

The result is tangible: the re-organisation of the flows on the square allowed to reduce the space for cars (from 70% to 30%), keeping the necessary circulation operations; the space earned has been returned to soft mobility as well as to public transport. This new layout give back to the square, one of the largest in Paris, its original vocation: an emblematic and cultural crossing point, made for people to live and exchange.
