Salzburg is preparing to vibrate as it hosts the 2026 UEFA Super Cup, the major European football final: Citec is orchestrating the mobility plan to ensure a smooth and secure event.
On 12 August 2026, the Stadion Salzburg will host the UEFA Super Cup final, pitting the UEFA Champions League winner, whose final will take place in Budapest in May 2026, against the Europa League winner, crowned in Istanbul. In order to manage the arrival of approximately 30,000 spectators, a comprehensive mobility plan is currently being developed.
Citec at the heart of the 2026 UEFA Super Cup in Salzburg
In this context Citec, commissioned by UEFA, is supporting the Local Organising Committee in defining this plan, in coordination with Salzburg’s public transport authority (Salzburger Verkehrsverbund – SVV), local emergency services and police, as well as UEFA’s internal teams (security, event transport, venue management, etc.). Our large events experts are defining the key pillars of the mobility plan: the location of Fan Meeting Points, the organisation of park-and-ride facilities and shuttle services from the city centre. Building on a long-standing collaboration with UEFA since Euro 2008, and following the successful delivery of the same services at the 2025 Super Cup at the Stadio Friuli in Udine, Citec will be on-site in early August for the operational deployment of the scheme.
